The story
Where it started
Fight Factory – Home of Champions began with a dream.
In 2011, founder and owner Steve Martin went to view a small premises in Marsa with a friend. His friend wasn't convinced, but Steve saw something different. He saw the beginning of a journey.
He decided to go for it.
The landlord, Jean Paul, soon became much more than just a landlord. He became a close friend, helping Steve shape the gym, supporting the vision and, at times, keeping him grounded on the business side of things.
For the next 10 years, Fight Factory called Marsa home. Thousands of children, teenagers and adults walked through those unforgettable doors. Some came to get fit. Some came to learn how to box. Some came looking for discipline, confidence or direction. Many became part of the Fight Factory family.
As the gym continued to grow, it was time for the next chapter. Fight Factory moved to a larger premises in Qormi through a partnership venture. Unfortunately, that chapter was cut short in less than a year when the partnership did not work out as planned.
But Fight Factory kept moving forward. At the right moment, another friend stepped in and sponsored a new home for the gym in Birkirkara. Fight Factory spent the next four years there, continuing to grow its community, its fighters and its reputation.
Eventually, we outgrew Birkirkara too. The search started again. Premises after premises. Phone call after phone call. Nothing felt quite right.
Then Steve received a call from an old friend telling him to come and see a premises in Mosta. The moment he walked in, he knew.
Set across two floors, the building had the space and potential to create the Fight Factory he had always imagined. The designing started immediately, followed by three intense months of working day and night to bring the vision to life.
On 2 January 2026, the doors of the new Fight Factory – Home of Champions officially opened in Mosta.
From a small premises in Marsa in 2011 to our home today, the journey has never been straightforward. There have been setbacks, changes, risks, friendships, sacrifices and countless hours of work.
But one thing has never changed: Fight Factory was built on passion, loyalty, discipline and the belief that champions are made through hard work.
And the story is still being written.

Boxing philosophy
The basics, forever
Boxing rewards the people who keep returning to the fundamentals. Stance, balance, distance, defence. We teach them on day one and we are still refining them years later.
Nothing here is decorative. Every drill exists because it makes a fighter harder to hit and harder to beat.

Coaching philosophy
Coached, not supervised
Our coaches watch, correct and expect standards. You will be told what you are doing wrong, and shown exactly how to fix it.
Everyone is coached at their own level — a first-week beginner and a national-level competitor need different work, not different values.

Competitive boxing
From the gym to the ring
For members who want it, there is a clear pathway into competition: technical work, controlled sparring, structured camps and selection by the coaching team.
Competing is earned, never assumed. Those who reach that standard represent Fight Factory locally and internationally.

Community
The room makes you
Fight Factory is a mixed room: teenagers, parents, professionals, competitors. Different reasons for training, the same respect on the floor.
Nobody trains alone here. The person holding your pads has an interest in you improving.

Legacy
Home of Champions
Champions are not only the ones with belts. They are the members who show up in week forty as reliably as week one.
That is the standard we protect, and it is why the gym carries the name it does.

Come and see the gym
The best way to understand Fight Factory is to walk in during a session.
